Music gives the most amazing type of entertainment. We can rely on it for all sort of emotional and self-expressing needs. It also affects our moods and liberates us from stresses and anxieties and refreshes our souls. With the current technology, it has become easier than ever to access it everywhere.
Music is one of the top industries in the world with centers spread all over, due to difference in cultures and diversities in the tastes and lifestyles of people. This distinctiveness of music makes it more unique as you can have all sort of spices added up in a pleasant way whether it is local, country side, classical or modern pop music.

Though, the target audience for every composition is different, but still there are songs, which gain global popularity, irrespective of the language, origin or ethnicity. Thus, we can say that music is directly related to the emotional being in every human being.
Gender is also involved as a determinant factor, as girls are more likely to appreciate and choose music which is soft, melodious and romantic. Boys on the other hand, without any music help, like music which is intense, motivating and sensational.

Government grants are the subsidies, cost-sharing programs, loans, incentives, and rebates which the government gives its citizens for carrying out various developmental and assistance activities mostly for non-profit and cultural ventures. One may ask, “do I need to repay them?” and the answer to that is ‘No’! These government grants are however not given to anybody for anything. One has to meet very detailed specifications and the government agencies monitor how the money is being spent. Canada grants are given out to citizens by agencies and foundations all over the country but most Canadians don’t even know such a system exists!

Many government grants are available for setting up and expansion of small businesses. Finance ranges between $1000 to $10 million for purposes of purchasing equipment, real estate, supplies, machinery, technical help, office lease, renovation, transport, and computer support. Canada grants are given for feasibility study programs which include financial, engineering and market analysis or a combination of all of them. Cost-sharing up to 75% of the total expenditure is done. A young entrepreneurs program is functional according to which the government of Canada gives grants up to $4000 to entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 29 to aid them in starting full-time businesses.

Why study music?

Why join in pop guitar classes in Singapore? Do we need to?  Why study pop music classes in the first place?  These questions are plaguing the minds of most students who are probably thinking the same thing while in music class. 

Yet the solutions to these queries are basic.  We learn music because it is around us, it is a general language told in every tongue, in every culture. It is inherent, vibrant and convincing.  When we listen to famous songs on the radio, doesn’t it make us desire to sing or dance along.  Songs can soften the heart of even the strongest bad guy, it is strong. 

Most of us are acquainted with the five essential areas of study:  mathematics, language, literature, physical science and arts.  Music go to the arts and is one of the field’s most dominant forms of expression.  In other words, music is a manifestation of the soul.

Originality and Self-expression

Les Miserables musical though an adaption from a French novel of the same now has become an international fame. The most successful musical of the history has its original production at the London’s Barbican Centre where its English version was first presented on 8 October 1985 where it is running in its 26th year. The serious musical reached America in 1987 after two years of its English debut in London and since its introduction at Broadway in 1987 it became the third longest running show in the history of Broadway.
Les Miserables started their Silver Jubilee celebrations last year with a live concert at The O2 arena and now DVD and Blu-Ray copies of the concert will be available on Amazon for sale from February 22, 2011. The 25th anniversary celebrations of the prestigious musical are still continue and the new American production is on its US tour. The new production has new staging and the out of the box scenery inspired from the paintings of Victor Hugo, the author of original French novel.
The new revival is the part of the 25th anniversary of the Les Miserables and after getting huge appreciation both from critics and audience in America now the Broadway production is running at the Cadillac Palace Theatre, Chicago, IL where it will run through February 27. Les Miserables also made its debut at David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts’ on January 31 and will run through February 12. The US tour of the Claude-Michel Schonberg musical will perform in venues at Baltimore, Louisville, Columbus, Detroit, Cleveland, Omaha, Milwaukee, Nashville and Los Angles among others. The tour will wrap up on September 25, 2011 at the Jefferson Concert Hall, Birmingham, AL.

Les Miserables will arrive on the PBS television for a concert on March 6th. The PBS concert features teenage singer and actor Nick Jonas in the character of young student Marius. The other cast of the musical includes Alfie Boe (Jean Valjean), Norm Lewis (Javert), Matt Lucas (Thenardier), Lea Salonga (Fantine), Jenny Galloway (Madame Thenardier), Camilla Kerslake (Cosette), Ramin Karimloo (Enjolras), and Samantha Barks (Eponine).
The glorious and legendary Les Miserables musical has toured 42 countries and has been witnessed by more than 56 million people across the world in 21 languages. It has won many awards including Tony Awards, John Kraaijkamp Musical Awards (Netherlands) and the 2010 London LifeStyle Award for London Theatre Show of the Year.
